Rainbow has a variety of frozen treats and raw food for your pets. From Boss Dog frozen yogurt, to Pupsicles, frozen raw bones, and raw-food entrees for cats, check out the refrigerator and freezer sections for the perfect cool treat for your pet.

You can also make your own “Paw Treats” with Boss Dog Treat Trays! The Boss ProPaws “Treat” Trays™ are a convenient way for you to provide your pets (Dogs and Cats!) with a special treat, while adding variety to their diet and “coolness” to these hot summer days.  Great for baking pet-friendly goodies such as cookies, cupcakes, muffins and other pastry delights!  Or… pop the tray into the freezer for an icy treat, not limited to Boss Dog Raw Goat Milk™, bone broth, or other pet-friendly foods. Yum!

Many dogs LOVE to play in the water, but natural water features such as lakes and rivers can also carry hidden dangers, including Blue Green Algae which produces a deadly toxin. One way to play it safe is to provide your pet with his own pool – and Rainbow has ‘em! Plastic wading pools work perfectly for dogs to enjoy some wet fun. A more durable option is a low-sided stock tank. Maybe your pup will even share with you?

It’s Fair season and Rainbow is there, supporting our local FFA and 4H youth exhibitors! Join in the fun by attending a local fair and watching the competitions, or sign up as a bidder for the livestock auctions. Learn something new by watching a competition that you have never seen before, such as the Round Robin Showmanship classes where the first place winner of each division handles each type of animal. In Small Animal Round Robin Showmanship, for example, each exhibitor must demonstrate competence with Poultry, Pygmy Goats, Rabbits, Cavies, Dogs and Turkeys. Large Animal exhibitors handle Horses, Sheep, Goats, Swine, Beef, and Dairy Cattle. That’s a lot of showmanship going on!

The Redwood Empire Fair takes place in Ukiah August 4 through 7th, with Large Animal Round Robin scheduled for Friday, August 5 at 4:00 PM in the Racine Pavilion. Small Animal Round Robin will follow at 7:00 PM in the Junior Show Ring.

The Lake County Fair will be held September 1st through 4th, at the fairgrounds in Lakeport. Come join in  “Celebrating a Good Time” at the Lake County Fair!

Be ready for all of summer’s adventures with a new outfit from the Rainbow clothing department! From dress up to work clothes, there’s a new style for every member of the family.

Ukiah residents please note: VIP Community Vet Clinics will be at the Ukiah Rainbow store once a month, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM on the following dates: August 13, September 10, October 8 and November 5.

Trivia! All correct answers are put into a random drawing for a $15.00 Rainbow Coupon!

The June Questions was, What is Ariat raffling off at each Rainbow store? The correct answer was a Wyld Gear Cooler, and the winner is Molly Evangelo.

This month’s question is, What do Round Robin contestants show?
