So much happening! Spring is the busy season at Rainbow.
It’s when everything is hopping, or peeping, or growing or mowing!

Mark your calendars for Rainbow’s biggest sale of the year
The Spring Anniversary Sale
May 3 & 4!

Save on (almost) everything in the store, check out the special deals, Hot Buys and in-store promos. There’s always some fun activities happening that weekend and to top it all off, one of the most popular sale items will be on sale ALL WEEK – 3-Way Grain Hay only $18.99 per bale! From April 28 through May 4, come in and get your 3-Way Hay. This sale is not a booking sale, and is only available on stock on hand, so come in early to stock up on quality 3-way grain hay. Watch for the Rainbow fliers with all the details of the Spring Anniversary Sale, at all Rainbow stores.

Everything you want to know about rabbits – right here at the Ukiah Rainbow store on Sunday, May 19. Entirely organized by local 4H Members, there will be over 15 rabbits! Learn about rabbit showmanship, breeding information, judging lessons, silent auction and prizes. This is an excellent introduction to 4H Rabbits. This is a very popular event, especially for kids, so hop on down and discover the fun of raising rabbits!

Spring means, it’s Kitten Season! What should you do if you find underage kittens? How do you know if they are abandoned, or if the mother is just hiding nearby? Who can care for them (the shelters are overflowing already) and what do you need to care for them? Check out this comprehensive article, courtesy of Alley Cat Allies, about how to tell if the kittens actually need rescuing and if so, what to do. If you are prepared to care for orphaned kittens, you can find the supplies you need – kitten milk replacer, bottles, canned kitten food, beds and crates – right at your local Rainbow store.

Don’t forget to add a few of these supplies to the donation bins at Rainbow, for our local shelters and rescue programs. Many of them support fostering orphan kittens and they always need milk replacer and bottles.

Weeds are growing and we are mowing.

The Humane Society of Inland Mendocino County is doing it up in Gala fashion, with their big fundraiser, the Black & White Spring Gala being held at Barra of Mendocino on May 4th. This fine evening includes a gourmet buffet dinner prepared by Black Dog Catering, live and silent auctions, and live music. Beer and wine are available to purchase. Wear your best Black & White! There are still a few tickets available, so don’t delay. Get your tickets today!

Enter to win a $15 Rainbow Coupon good on any purchase at any Rainbow Ag! All correct answers go into a random drawing.

The March question was, what fun, messy game can you play at the Ukiah and Lakeport stores on Chick Day, March 23? Of course the answer was the raw egg toss! Our winner is Teri Aparicio.
The April question is, What will local 4H members be teaching all about on May 19th?
