Rainbow in Ukiah is excited to be one of the “Passport Stops” on Tails on the Trail! This is a dog event that will be held on the Great Redwood Trail in downtown Ukiah on Saturday May 14 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event will start on 247 E. Perkins St. at the Ukiah Railroad Depot and end at Skelly Dogs Training with an agility course. There will be pet vendors, organizations, and more to promote the dog community in Ukiah. There will also be giveaways, a raffle and an agility course – stop in at the vendor participants stations to get your Passport stamped and get some neat stuff! As a sponsor of Tails on the Trail, Rainbow will have free gift bags for the first 100 participants, and raffle prizes. See you and your pups there!

Mother’s Day is Coming Right Up – Sunday May 8. Don’t forget your mamma! Rainbow has something for every Mother, whether she is a cowgirl, dog or cat mom, gardener, cook, goatherd, backcountry horsewoman, chicken whisperer … she deserves a day of recognition! Check out Rainbow’s selection of gifts for Mom, including Montana Silversmith jewelry, Ariat clothing and boots, scented soaps, sun hats and more.

Need to supplement your horses to augment poor pasture, or last year’s hay? Check out the Purina® EquiTub® with ClariFly®. The EquiTub is an easy-to-feed, self-fed horse supplement for consistent nutrition and seasonal fly control. You can count on Purina’s research-backed formula to provide supplemental nutrition, fly control and gastric support in a palatable form designed for multi-horse convenience. High-quality ingredients such as alfalfa, rice bran and flaxseed are paired with cutting-edge technology to help ensure consistent intake and nutrient delivery. The formula also includes ClariFly® Larvicide. This feed additive passes through the horse and is expelled in the manure where house and stable flies lay their eggs, preventing the emergence of adult flies. Equitubs are now available at Rainbow!

Trivia … it’s addictive!

Last month’s question was, why are some horse events in California being postponed or canceled? The correct answer is outbreaks of infectious diseases in equines and our winner is Yvonne Coyne.

This month’s question is, What kind of Tails are on the Trail at the May 14th event in Ukiah? All correct answers are entered in a random drawing for a $15.00 Rainbow Coupon!
