In Ukiah, there will also be a bake sale both days to benefit St. Baldricks Childhood Cancer Research!

The Spring Sale sets the pace for the entire month of May, with events happening at Rainbow and all throughout our horse community. Highland Spring Equestrian Center has some great clinics on their schedule, with Dressage and Horsemanship Clinics, and Obstacle Course Playdays happening nearly every weekend.

The Potter Valley Spring Festival and Rodeo takes over Memorial Day Weekend in Potter Valley. Join in the fun, starting Saturday morning the Main Street Parade – get out your grass skirts! Green grass can be a great addition to a horse’s health, both mentally and physically. Horses love the taste of green grass and it can be very nutritious during the right stages of maturity, not to mention the joys of being out in a pasture relaxing and being a horse. However, spring grass can bring some risks so be aware and follow the Spring Checklist for a safe and healthy spring. Learn more about spring pasture management and check off that list with this article from Karen E. Davison, Ph.D., Director, Nutritionist, Equine Technical Solutions at Purina Research.
