It’s Fair Time, and Rainbow will be there!

We love Fair time – the culmination of many months of hard work for the local junior exhibitors, the competitions, the friendships and life-long connections made, and supporting our young agricultural people, the future of Agriculture! Rainbow will be at the auctions, giving back to the 4H, FFA and Individual community by bidding and purchasing.

Redwood Empire Fair – July 31 to August 3 Ukiah “Magic is Reel”

Sonoma County Fair – August 1 through 10 Santa Rosa “Hot Dogs and Cool Cats”

Lake County Fair – August 28 – 31  Lakeport “A Blast from the Past”

Summer weather brings fire season – something that we all are acutely aware of in this part of California. Be prepared ahead of time for possible wildfires and evacuations by having your trailers up to snuff, the go-bag for everyone in your family (people, pets, livestock, horses) ready and having an evacuation plan and checklist that everyone understands. Find valuable resources for Wildfire preparation at readyforwildfire.org, a service from Cal Fire.

Did you know that 95 to 97% of all wildfires in California are caused by human sources? There are many things we each can do to help prevent another devastating fire, including creating defensible space around our homes and outbuildings. Being prepared to fight a fire, should one happen near you, means having both hand tools and possibly power tools available. An operational pump and fire hose can mean stopping a small fire in its tracks!
