The Robinson Creek Ponies are descended
from a domestic herd introduced in the 1960’s

As we head into the darkest, coldest part of the year, some horse owners struggle to keep their horses fed and healthy. Rainbow supports many local animal rescues, including All Hands Equine Rescue here in Mendocino County. All Hands Equine Rescue is dedicated to improving the lives of equines through education and assistance to horse owners; assisting law enforcement agencies; rehabilitating abused and neglected horses; and rehoming horses into safe permanent homes. All Hands Equine Rescue has been instrumental in helping with the feral herd of Robinson Creek Ponies living in the hills west of Ukiah in Mendocino County since the 1960s. As with most rescues, All Hands is always in need of donations and volunteers! Keep it local this holiday season. DONATE by clicking the blue button at the top of All Hands Equine Rescue’s Facebook page — or make a donation to their account at Rainbow Ag — and help keep beloved horses in their homes, provide health care and feed, or find a safe home for horses in need.

There’s a lot going on for the Holidays at Rainbow! Keep an eye on your email inbox for special Hot Buys, Subscriber Sales and great deals. Rainbow stores are stocked up and ready to go, but supplies are limited and some future orders might be delayed, so come in and take a look!

Trivia!

There were 42 entries in the November Trivia Contest! After a little glitch with the webpage, we had the most entries ever! Thanks for participating!

The November question was about all that hay that the Rainbow yard crew lifted in the past year – over 12 million pounds! Which of Rainbow’s three stores sold the most hay last year? It was the Lakeport store, with over 100 truck & trailer loads going out the door! The winner is, Gavin Kile, who won a $15.00 Rainbow Coupon good on any purchase at any Rainbow store.

The last Trivia question for 2021 is, how long have the Robinson Creek Ponies been a feral herd in the western hills of Ukiah?
