WEEDSEEKER APPLICATIONS... NOT JUST FOR WEEDS!
- Save on chemical costs
- Demonstrate environmental friendliness
- Reduce labor on suckering
- Apply foliar feed directly
For over eight years, the WeedSeeker Selective Spray System has been used in vineyards to reduce herbicide costs up to 80% or more. When a WeedSeeker sensor detects the chlorophyll in a weed it applies herbicide directly to the weed and not bare soil. Sensors are mounted on booms and attached to ATV's, John Deere Gators or other utility vehicles, tractors, and trailers. The system is typically used to automatically spot spray berms and middles at 3 to 10 MPH.

Besides weed spraying applications there are many other practical uses for the WeedSeeker. Several vineyards have used sensors for chemical suckering. The sensors are positioned to sense suckers at the base of the vine and then to spray them with Gramoxone. This can be done in conjunction with weed spraying or on a stand-alone pass. One vineyard uses the sensors to detect and apply foliar feed directly to newly transplanted vines. This application saved over 90% of the fertilizer and still produces desired growth rates.
Using the WeedSeeker Selective Spray System to spray only what you want to spray and nothing more is a great way to decrease costs, increase profits and utilize environmentally friendly spray practices.
