Facts from the Field: #1 Tools and Tips from Rainbow Ag
Seminar Spotlights Tools of the Trade
Efficiency could be defined as having the right tool for the job on hand when you need it. With the softening of grape prices, every grower must look to efficiency in order to reduce operating costs. Before the rains let up, set aside a few hours to think about your vineyard equipment requirements for the coming season at a seminar hosted by The California North Coast Grape Growers Association (CNCGGA).
On Tuesday, March 27th, from 10 am to 1:30 pm, at the Alexander Valley Community Hall, a series of 10-minute presentations about innovative vineyard tools will be given by equipment vendors recruited by the CNCGGA as experts in the field. As usual, the CNCGGA has put together an information-packed seminar; it will deliver information to help you make strategic equipment choices in the year ahead.
Rainbow Agricultural Services will be there, featuring our SAME Rubber Track Narrow Crawler, the Avidor Mechanical Leaf Removal System and Weedseeker Spraying System. Don't miss our presentations.
The seminar fee is $10 for CNCGGA members and $15 for non-members; lunch is included. The Alexander Community Hall is located at 5512 Hwy. 128. To register, call (707) 578-8331, or write the CNCGGA at: 970 Piner Road, Santa Rosa, CA, 95403.
Safety Pays!
In Northern California's hilly terrain, tractor roll-overs pose a significant risk to workers, and expose your company in increased liability. Roll-over protection structures (ROPS) used with a seat belt significantly reduce fatalities. Assess the roll-over safety of your tractors, and check out retrofitting older equipment by calling Rainbow at 462-2404, or e-mailing us at: equipment@rainbowag.com.
