This new organization provides free spay and neuter services to qualifying Lake County residents in effort to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens. Lake County shelters are stretched to the limit with dogs and cats, puppies and kittens and FIX Lake County is working to reduce those numbers, so that all pets can have loving, forever homes. Doing the same good work in Mendocino County, SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) also has a great website at ukiahsnap.org The application for services is available online for qualifying people and rescue groups. SNAP is entirely run by volunteers, and 100% of donations and fundraising goes to help the pets.
